            CD-IELTS vs. PAPER-BASED IELTS

As there are a number of IELTS institute all over India which provide students with the best course material. The interesting thing is IELTS can be done in two different ways- computer-based as well as pen-paper-based. So choose the best fit one. Firstly, let’s talk about the first one i.e. computer-delivered IELTS. CD-IELTS is new for many people in India. It not only introducing you to the new version of IELTS (CD-IELTS) but is also providing its coaching. You can prepare for your CD-IELTS through a particular institute. There are so many students who feel afraid of giving the IELTS exam through computer-delivered way, so it is not so common. This is the reason we CD-IELTS is much easier than paper-based IELTS.

·       The whole process of booking the computer-based IELTS test is easier and less confusing.
·       The test center is futuristic and totally awesome.
·  Because of the small groups, everything seemed so much more relaxed.
·  Writing is now much easier then writing on paper because here we can easily fix our mistakes if something is missing in the middle, then it can be easily written and can be typed rapidly regardless of handwriting.
·   For some reason, doing computer-based IELTS felt fairer, as the reading and listening would be 100% computer marked.

You can get your results of CD-IELTS in just 4-5 days. That’s 8 or 9 days sooner than the paper-based test.

The second is paper-based IELTS, there are a total of four modules i.e. listening, speaking, reading, and writing. You will respond to Listings, Reading and Writing sections on a paper. Speaking Test is done face-to-face with a trained IELTS tester.

SCHEME OF TEST

There are two types of IELTS: Academic and general training. all test takers take the same Listening and Speaking tests but different reading and writing skills.
  •  IELTS listening test takes approximately 30 minutes, you are allowed an extra 10 minutes to transfer your answers from your answer booklet to your answer sheet. it contains a total of 40 questions.
  • Next comes reading. It takes a total of 60 minutes including the transfer time which consists of 40 questions.
  • The IELTS writing test takes 60 minutes with 2 questions at all.
  • At last the speaking test which takes 11-15 minutes in which the examiner
  • have to answer some questions to check some communication skills of the student.
